Brouwerij Allema is coming to Hopwaarts
Moeders Mooiste, Vaders Trots, Schone Zus: at Brouwerij Allema from Zwolle, every beer is part of the family. Hopwaarts is bringing that whole family to the drinks trade.

Two brothers from Zwolle
Brouwerij Allema is run by brothers Jasper and Joost Allema. Joost started brewing his own beer in Havelte at the age of sixteen and never stopped. Together with Jasper he first made the summery saison Broers Bier. In 2020 the brewery put its first three beers on the market.
A brewery of their own on the Marslanden
In 2022 Allema moved from contract brewing to its own independent brewery on the Marslanden business park in Zwolle, with its own brewing kettles and fermentation tanks. The kettles are heated with steam instead of gas.
Ten beers, one family
The family now counts ten beers, each with a character of its own. Moeders Mooiste is a weizen with a subtle touch of Sichuan pepper, Broers Bier a saison with New Zealand hops, lemongrass and coriander, and Tante uit Amerika an American IPA with five American hop varieties. There are also Schone Zus (Belgian blond), Vaders Trots (tripel), Goed Huwelijk (dubbel), Stamvader (quadrupel with red wine), Suikeroom (milkshake IPA), the light Nakomertje and Nuchtere Blauwvinger, a low-alcohol IPA named after the nickname for people from Zwolle.
